We had a great meeting yesterday (that went way too long!) with all the ministry leaders (now called ministry executives). We went through some great leadership stuff and looked at the new strategy for 2007. It was a great time of just everyone getting on board with the vision and willing to help. The two biggest things we did was introduce the new small groups that we're calling Home Teams, and introduced the new logo and slogan, Building to Serve.

Home Teams are going to be a great way to build relationships and trust with other members of our church 'family'. We had one Home Team (although we didn't call it that) before the meeting, we now have at least 2 more committed to starting Home Teams in their home. WOW!! Amazing how great God is! I'm looking forward to hearing great things from these 3 Home Teams this coming year.  If you want to be a involved in a Home Team or feel like you might want to lead one, let me know. It's a great, and easy, way to build relationships and strengthen our church family. Also, it's a great way to build relationships with seekers (unsaved) in our community.






The other big thing was the introduction of the new logo and slogan, "Building to Serve". We are building, not to get big for the sake of getting big's sake, but to serve.
